Welcome to the CD Spool Rocket Resource OddrocWiki!
I feel that it is vital to the hobby and, more importantly, the rocketry community to pay it forward. This wiki project is my newest endeavor to do just that. Although I am hosting this wiki, I want the rocketry community to own the content. The best way to do that is to contribute.
"How do I contribute," you ask? That's easy! First, you must register as a member. (I don't collect any personal information & will never give out your email address!) Second, check out the Suggested Reading below. It is an excellent introduction/primer/tutorial on what can be done within a wiki. Lastly, head on over to the Sandbox so you can get a feel for the interface. To only browse & read the OddrocWiki though, you do not need to be a registered member.
Are You a Registered OddrocWiki Contributor Yet?
Click on the log in/create account link in the OddrocWiki Toolbox at the bottom of the page to register. What are you waiting for?!?
Suggested Reading for Contributing to OddrocWiki
Please read MediaWiki Help. In particular check out the Reading & Editing sections.
Play in the Sandbox
The Sandbox is a page where you can get a feel with submitting & formatting text in the OddrocWiki. As the name implies, this is a place to play around. (Don't worry, the site admin will check out the page on a regular basis to clean it up for others to play in!)
Let's Get Started!
Oddrocs, as the name implies, come in many shapes, sizes, and arrangements. There are a few major categories of oddrocs, namely Flying Saucers, Spools, Tetrahedrons, and UFOs--Unusual Flying Objects. (Note: If someone has a better name for that last category, I'm definitely open to suggestions!)
I also have created a "To Do List" of topics that I would like to have information on as well--which also gives contributors more places to start from!
